FO: Summer flower.

One of my recent finished projects is this summer top for G. I made it a while ago, having our holiday in mind. There's no hope she will wear it here any time soon (rain, rain and more rain on the way...) but I do hope we will have nice sunny weather in Italy. We're leaving today and we couldn't be more excited. All we want is some blue sky above us. And we can't wait to see all family and friends!

But coming back to the summer top: I absolutely love the way it turned out. I'm not very good at crochet but every now and then I like to swap my needles for a hook and play a little bit. It was such a quick and enjoyable work. A flower detail to make it more girly. A bit of sewing (this time without swearing) and it's done. We're ready for the sun.

Fabric: bought on sale in Jenners, Edinburgh

New challenge.

Kids Clothes Week Challenge starts today and I decided to participate. I have some nice yarns and fabric ready for this projects and few garments in mind that I hope I am able to finish before the end of this week.

Kids Clothes Week Challenge.

I've joined this year KCWC. I believe it will boost my knitting and sewing creativity. I'm planning on making one summer dress and one summer cardigan for my little G. I also hope I can finish one other dress that is currently on my needles. 

I bought some Amy Butler's fabric, so pretty and colourful. I really hope I wont waste it: I'm not very good at sewing. But the idea of the dress that I have in my mind seems pretty straightforward. Now, there is one little obstacle: as we are getting ready for the big move, I'm not really sure where my sewing machine is. It's packed away in one of the boxes and I don't know in which one.

Let's hope I can share some of my finished creation with you in the end of this week.
