Postcards from Poland: Garden

Here are some images of my parents' garden. I love this big green space full of trees, flowers and some veggies too. This quiet space and perfect greenery is probably the thing that I miss the most, living in a big city. I dream that one day we have similar garden where we can rest, sit in the shade of an old plum tree and read, let our children walk barefeet on the grass... Until then, these photos must do. And there are more coming soon :)

Postcards from Poland: Landscapes

It wasn't easy to chose landscapes photos from Poland. I took so many pictures there and I'm still trying to organize them according to their subject. I hope you like this selection; usually I work on my photos and play a little with Picnik but I decided not to touch landscapes photos to show the real colors and beauty of the places we saw. These are the places where I grew up and they are very close to my heart. I will always miss the space and greenery that surrounded me there but I also know that I will never return for good. Those two weeks in Poland were some kind of a sentimental journey for me; it also was a good time to think some things through.

Some more (and more) photos are still coming :)

We're back.

Thank you all or nice comments and wishes; we had a great time in Poland indeed. We fully enjoyed every single day, spending time with my family, meeting my old friends, visiting some beautiful places. And the weather was great too, so much cooler than it is in Italy these days. I took lots of photos and I will start uploading them tomorrow; I just need to go through them and choose the best ones.

Unfortunately, on our last day in Poland my camera broke down. I will have it fixed but I have to wait for my lens until the end of September. I'm not sure if I can wait so long. (Luckily, I've got enough photos to share until I can use my camera again).

La ragazza con la valigia...

Ksiaz Castle, Poland, October 2008

Tomorrow we're going to Poland for two weeks and I feel very excited. It's our first trip abroad with our baby and we all are in good moods for the journey. I just can't wait to see my family and friends and enjoy every single day with them. We'll be back in the second half of August, with many photos and stories (I hope so!). We're also hoping for nice weather. It's been so hot in Genoa recently that running away from here to cooler Poland might be a blessing.

Wishing you all sunny and happy time :)
