Taking a break.

KCWC came and went but I have not a single thing finished. I was so excited about it but I guess the timing wasn't right for me. With all the preparations for our big move I had limited time for knitting but that was not the real problem. For some reason, I felt pretty unlucky in my creative zone last week. First, I couldn't get the sizes right. I don't even know how many times I had to rip off my started projects. Then I hurt my finger from all that desperate knitting and instead of giving it some rest, I kept knitting. Result? The skin on the tip of my finger broke terribly. It still hurts a bit. And if that was not enough, I had to order some more fabric for G's dress and I still haven't received it. I believe it's lost. So last Friday I finally accepted my failure and I packed away all my yarns and needles. I won't be using them until we've moved to our new place. This means a forced break from knitting but on the other hand, maybe I need a little rest to start knitting again with new energy.

Have a creative week Everyone!

  1. When you lose (however temporary) your creative mojo, it is definitely best just to give it a break (especially when it causes creative injuries!!) you will find it again or it finds you, don't worry :)
