Snow is snowing...

These are the views I saw this morning from our bedroom and sitting room windows: the very first snow this season. I know there are people in London already complaining about this kind of weather (mainly because with just a little snow all city, unprepared, gets crazy and it is impossible to commute) but seeing snowflakes dancing in the air puts me in a very good mood. It brings me something back from my childhood. It's cold but I don't mind. I see the snow and I think: it's time for some Christmas preparations. It's time to bake some gingerbread. It's time to do some serious winter knitting. This is what I'm going to do today.

Happy snowy season Everyone!

  1. i love cold, snowy winter days, even if it's only autumn! i know what you mean about the complaints. i wished people would urge themselves to remember more of winter fun, instead of moodily moaning.
as i'm sitting here, near the window, eyeing the snow, fighting tonsilitis, i'm hankering for foot prints in the snow. my foot prints. soon though!!! ;) enjoy!!

  2. Sounds like a lovely day Kasia. I'm more like Londoners, and feel like crying (or "moodily moan" as quite appropriately woolf describes it) when I see snow here: it means probable power and phone failures, roads blocked and all the rest.

  3. I want snow! it cancels classes! It's funny because normally it's new england, not england that's getting snow right now!

  4. What a gorgeous view! New snow makes me very happy indeed - as we mostly just get rain in the Pacific Northwest - enjoy that cozy day!
