Corner View #16

Once again, I have to postpone my CV post.

This time it's because of circumstances I wouldn't expect to happen. I just feel too upset today. I was just having my morning coffee, visiting some blogs and, travelling from link to link, I have found somebody's blog (somebody who, according to my stats, has been visiting my blog). Some words look too familiar, they're just a bit changed but the construction, the idea and sense are all the same.

I guess some people lack their own originality but leaving a comment behind wouldn't hurt anyone.

So, I feel truly disgusted and I'll be back when I feel a bit better.

  2. Of course it's disgusting, but don't feel like that please... I agree with Jane, if they are copying your blog it's because it is a really beautiful one.. But they're never going to be as good, and beautiful as YOU. Je t'embrasse, in french !

  5. Oh, I'm so sorry. I would be completely upset too. I hope you can find some peace with this and it will come to a conclusion.

Sending wishes for a happy day!

  6. I'm so sorry. I think copying without giving credit (and a link) for the inspiration is simply called stealing content, stealing someone else's work. I'm sure infringement of copyrights is quite common on the web, but I don't know how one should proceed. Don't let it change your ways, though, and continue blogging. This angry post is a good reply ... for now.

  7. yeah... you shouldn't stop!!
think about that like a recipe:you can give your best and favorite recipe to someone cook, but will never be the same, the taste will be diferent!
i also agree wiht jane, so you must go on!!

  8. It is sad. On the other hand it is an honour to your blog.

  9. Oh, that has to be so frustrating! I am so sorry this happened! I will miss your posts though and I think you should continue to post. I'm not sure what the best way to handle it is. This happens to a friend of mine frequently. It is awful! I'm thinking of you!

  10. Oh, believe me I have had to deal with that from a certain person A LOT! It drives me crazy and I feel just like you do after. Like I just don't feel like blogging. Feel better :)

  11. Some people never grow up!! Still just part of the sheep mentality. I would die without being able to be me, freely, true to myself and no one else...

    Hopefully, they will stop now!

    Happy Corner View day anyway!!

  13. kasia I'm sorry this has happened to you. What Jane said is so true. I have to be reminded myself- when I go into other's home and I feel as if I'm walking into my own! It is a feeling of invasion, but do continue to share. I enjoy coming by and visiting.

By the way how did you find the stats and where they came from?

A lot of hugs coming your way. xoxo...

  14. Sorry, that someone did that to you and didn't even give you credit for the idea.

  15. Don't let them win! Your blog is the original and that is all that matters...

Remember, what goes around comes around!

  16. I understand why you are upset. I struggle with the idea that this could happen to me as well. What to do? I wish I had the answer, and something comforting to say.
    Big hugs

  17. I always think of blogs as such personal things, it seems so strange to me that someone would do that. It's like borrowing someone else's life. I guess it is a compliment that they think your work is that good, but in a way I feel sorry for someone who can't come up with their own ideas. How inadequate a person must feel if they think they have to plagiarize another blog.

  18. I agree with Crescent Moon. How strange is that??!!

  19. oh no! that is truly disgusting. how did you find out? was it totally random? like just doing your daily reading sort of a thing?

this person is a sad little person-how terrible to have to steal somebody else's creative work. they suck. big hugs...let us all know if there is something concrete that we can do, besides sending you hugs and this butt-bag darts.

  21. well, i think the same as everyone else here. it's very disappointing ! i can see why they were inspired by you though ... i love your blog. love coming to visit ! don't let this stop you from being you on your blog !!

  22. I agree with Cris Siqueira! I'd love to see what you were posting. You have such great posts. They are inspiring. And I meant to tell you I'm totally loving the knitting needle pics.

  23. Hmm....I think I would be upset too, but at the same time I would feel flattered. I swear that person has read all these comments by now and must feel horrible...And you my dear!! Keep doing the same thing here on your blog, cuz that's what counts. We all love it, we all love the personality behind the words and don't let some copycat prevent you from making us happy!!!!
If I would copy someone, at least I would say that to him or her, just to let them know I adore them. Big kiss, from Carmie.

  24. oh, sweet kasia, i am so sorry to hear this!

what i truly like about your blog is, that it is so personal, so living, so warm. and real. i have loved to visit your place ever since that first post of yours with the little cardigan, you had knitted for your daughter.

it must feel like someone is stealing your life, and i understand that you must feel so disappointed and disrespected.

i truly hope you will be able to blog again soon. no one else can make this exact place the same. even if they tried.

lots of warm thoughts from trinsch
