Corner View: Imagine...

These days I spend lots of time imagining what it's going to be like when the new baby arrives. Sometimes it is so hard to imagine. When G. was born our life changed forever and since then she's been the centre of it. It still feels a bit unreal that there will be another person in our life to love .  My fast growing belly and first timid baby's movements make it more real every day though. I'm filled with joy but at the same time I have my worries. How to prepare G. for the new arrival? How to assure her that the love we feel for her won't be divided by two but it will multiple itself? Here's a question for you, Moms of two and more. I'd love to hear your stories.

Happy Wednesday!

  2. Birth and growing your family is a great thing to imagine. I was unable to have children, so no advice here, except I hear the heart has room for lots of love. :) xo

  3. I can imagine what you're saying. I only have one daughter, and I can not imagine that a second child is so important. But do not worry. I've heard that you will love the second ... the third ... the fourth as well.

  6. Now that I think of it, I should write it down for myself, too.

Our experience is great. Our children get along and there is very very very few jealousy between them.
and I will write about it soon! (sorry, i have to go)

  7. I have 2 children, 6 years apart. My son of 6 was the center of our world for all those years, it was a shock for him when his sister came into our lives! Before her arrival we talked with him about how he'd be a big brother and how he could show her how to do things and take care of her. We made sure he had some one-to-one time with each of us when she arrived, so it was not all about the new arrival. Friends made sure to talk with him and ask him questions about his little sister when they visited, instead of rushing to see the baby. Wishing you lots of happy times with your 2 children in the future.

  10. the best thing you can do for G is not to worry - a mother has enough love for all of her children, and an amazing ability to find the time for all of them. there will be some adjusting and transitioning for sure, for all of you, and that's why newborn only sleep and eat at first - at least, this is what I hear, but you know, I too survived! :)
    hugs.

  11. What a lovely photo!
I have one daughter - she is 14 now- so I cannot help you out for your question, well maybe a litlle...just go with the flow and things will settle. Maybe you can read books? Or is G. to young for to read a story?
If not a story about brother getting a sister / brother baby.

Well, please don't worry...enjoy being pregnant, I think that is a miracle all together!
