Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post!
One wee knit, first of many, is finished. It was a very quick and enjoyable work and I'm sure I will make one or two more of these for the baby. The pattern is WHW Plain Wrap, very well written and easy to follow. I decided to do version with buttons, I think they look cuter than Aplix.
I absolutely loved working with the yarn I used fort his project. It was a gift from our dear friend Karen who kindly left me her stash when she was moving back to the States. I don't know the name of this yarn but it's definitely wool, very soft and gentle, perfect for a baby project. It knits up beautifully. There's some yarn left, enough for a hat or two.
Happy knitting!
This is adorable!!! It's so cute!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous yarn and such a cute pattern! Your stitches are so even and nice - what a lucky baby!
ReplyDeleteYour baby is going to be styling in style. This is so cute and love the colors. xo
ReplyDeleteI used cloth diapers and diaper wraps for all of my 3 kids. I never had something this beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe combined cloth diapers with disposable ones with my first daughter and I still feel a bit guilty about it (the disposable part). This time we want to use only reusable ones so I'm already stashing them :-)
DeleteKnitting and nesting! Please share all of it! :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely will, Francesca :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, it´s so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love that! So cute. I'm glad to see the yarn going to such good use!
ReplyDeleteRewelacja!!! Z guzikami faktycznie lepiej wygląda, aczkolwiek pewnie z rzepami wygodniejsze użycie :)
